In addition, Song Joong Ki and on-screen love interest Song Hye Kyo, may return as a married couple in Season 2. According to a report published by  IBTimes , NEW representative recently seems to have confirmed that "Descendants of the Sun" Season 2 pre-production works has already begun. The representative further went on to suggest that the show is being prepared for a 2017 launch itself. Moreover, it is further confirmed that the name of the show will remain the same. Besides this, no other information has been provided by the representative as yet.
